Known Issues
A workaround exists for this issue here. Related calls: BBS-1541, BBS-1545 *BBS-1541: Search from KnowledgeTree explorer (3.5.2c) gives no results. Related call: SUP-1291. *BBS-1545: Search text not found in KnowledgeTree Explorer for a document containing special characters.
- BBS-1554: Microsoft Office 2007 users only. Indexing fails for documents scanned through KnowledgeTree Desktop Imaging when Microsoft Office Document Imaging (MODI) is not installed
By default, the MODI tool is not installed with Microsoft Office 2007. To resolve this issue you need to add the MODI tool to your Microsoft Office 2007 installation through Control Panel – Add/Remove/Change Programs. See Microsoft Windows Help and Support for information on performing this task.
- BBS-1570: Microsoft Internet Explorer caching prevents document check-in when logging on to multiple servers from the same KTTools environment
This issue occurs in multi-server KnowledgeTree Tools environments, in the following scenario: A user checks out a document from one server (Server A), and Microsoft Internet Explorer caches this file location and the actual document. The user then checks out a document with the same file name from another server (Server B). However, in this instance, Microsoft Internet Explorer downloads the cached document (from Server A). When checking in the document in KnowledgeTree Tools, the document appears to check in, but when refreshing the KnowledgeTree Explorer interface, the document is still ‘checked out’. Clearing the IE cache resolves this issue.
- BBS-1569: A runtime exception occurs when attempting to save a document with the same name as a document that already exists in the 'Downloaded' folder
This issue occurs when the pre-existing document in the ‘Downloaded’ folder is ‘read-only’. Documents in the ‘Downloaded’ folder are ‘read only’ when they are opened from KnowledgeTree Explorer using the ‘Open as read only copy’ action.
- BBS-1559: An exception occurs when cancelling a ‘Save’ (to KnowledgeTree) action of a new XLSX document
This issue occurs only in Excel, when in Edit mode (i.e. when you are actively editing a cell), then saving the document to KnowledgeTree. After selecting a KnowledgeTree ‘save’ location, a system message informs you that a document with this file name already exists at that location. Click ‘Yes’ to replace the file, and your document is checked in to KnowledgeTree. Clicking ‘Cancel’, or ‘No’ triggers an exception. Dismissing the exception reverts to the pre-save state, and you will need to Save to KnowledgeTree again to check in your document.
