KnowledgeTree 3.7 Upgrade Guide

This guide describes the steps necessary to upgrade to KnowledgeTree 3.7 on Windows and Linux platforms. If you want to perform a clean installation of KnowledgeTree, or you are using a different platform, please refer to the KnowledgeTree 3.7 Installation Guide.

KnowledgeTree 3.7 comes installed on Zend Server, an enterprise-grade PHP stack. The instructions below describe how to use the KnowledgeTree Setup Wizard to automatically migrate your installation to the new KnowledgeTree Stack and perform the required upgrade to KnowledgeTree 3.7 Community or Commercial Editions.

Upgrading to KnowledgeTree 3.7 from versions older than 3.6.1 are not supported. Please upgrade to KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 before continuing.

If you are already using version 3.7, see the instructions on how to upgrade from the KnowledgeTree 3.7 Release Candidate (3.7.0.1) to 3.7 final (3.7.0.2).

Upgrade to KnowledgeTree 3.7 Community and Commercial Editions

Step 1 Read the important upgrade notes

Step 2 Check system requirements for stack install

Step 3 Backup your repository

Step 4 Shut down KnowledgeTree 3.6.1 services

Step 5 Install the KnowledgeTree Stack

Step 6 Run the Upgrade Setup Wizard
