Bulk download generates large amount of content in tmp directory

Description

In certain environments, an issue with the bulk download action leads to the generation of a large amount of content in the KnowledgeTree temporary directory. Over an extended period of time the generated content may fill the relevant partition and prevent access to the repository.

How to resolve this issue

To resolve this issue, perform the following steps to apply the patch provided:

1. Download the patch at the following link: http://kt-download.s3.amazonaws.com/customer-files/Bulk_download_patch.zip

2. Backup and replace the following files with the versions in the patch archive:

<KnowledgeTree Directory>\knowledgeTree\lib\foldermanagement\compressionArchiveUtil.inc.php
<KnowledgeTree Directory>\knowledgeTree\templates\kt3\standard_page.smarty

3. Open KnowledgeTree and clear your browser cache (CTRL+F5)

4. Clear the contents of the temporary directory: Default location is <KnowledgeTree Directory>/var/tmp/
